COOPERATIVE BENEVOLENCE MINISTRY

Our partnering churches cooperatively resource the benevolence needs of our community. The needs we will seek to address through benevolence ministry are: food and other bills & life expenses. Benevolence clients are assessed by someone on our team using Chalmers Center resources and assessment tools. Only people who indicate they desire further life development will receive benevolence resources.  Local partner churches make monthly contributions to First Hope from their benevolence budgets to fund cooperative benevolence ministry. These benevolence dollars are used to to meet the needs of our clients and to support the administrative cost of benevolence ministry.

Our Benevolence Process

  1. The church becomes aware of a need.
  2. The church collects basic info & submits it online to First Hope CM.
  3. First Hope CM assigns a trained “Ally” to the client.
  4. The Ally builds relationships through helping the client with the need.
  5. The Ally helps the client discover Christ, passions, gifts & obstacles.
  6. The Ally works with the client to create a development plan.
  7. The Ally surrounds the client with Christian community in a church.
  8. The trained church helps the client work his/her development plan.
